The proceeds from all auction items will go to the Alyssa Selman Trust. Selman was paralyzed from the waist down two months ago when her horse clipped heels and she was thrown to the ground. The 29-year-old with two young children has been given a five per cent chance of ever walking again. A benefit social, cash donations taken at the TD Canada Trust, Assiniboine Credit Union, Access Credit Union, Go Fund Me as well as proceeds from the Annual MJC Golf Tournament have raised more than $100,000 for Alyssa so far.
A halter worn by undefeated Triple Crown winner and recent Haskell Invitational winner American Pharoah heads an impressive list of memorabilia that will be auctioned off on eBay in support of recently paralyzed jockey Alyssa Selman.
Bidding begins on eBay Friday, Aug. 21 for a limited 10-day period with all proceeds going to the Alyssa Selman Trust. UPDATE: Bidding has started!
