Amber Fehr was a successful participant in the 2025 Racehorse Groom Training Program!
For anyone who has ever dreamed of working with racehorses, the HBPA of Manitoba Inc. is offering a unique chance to gain hands-on experience through a 4-week paid training program.
Racehorse Groom Training Program participants will be immersed in barn life, learning everything from feeding and stall care to grooming and basic horse health. Set in busy barn environments, in all weather conditions, the program allows participants to stay physically engaged while building daily connections with these remarkable animals.
Last year’s participants gave the program high praise, noting the valuable skills they gained and the rewarding experience of working with the horses.
Supported by funding from the Government of Manitoba, the annual program provides an excellent opportunity to explore a career in the racing industry. Open to individuals aged 16–29, the program requires no prior horse experience, but that would be considered an asset.
Further details are available at hbpamanitoba.ca, and applications are NOW BEING ACCEPTED! Interested applicants should submit their materials to hbpamanitoba@mymts.net.
The HBPA encourages readers to share this exciting opportunity with anyone who may be interested!
