Rules & Regulations

1. In each Raffle the Prize will be 50% of the gross revenue from all tickets sold.
2. Tickets are 1 ticket for $10, 10 tickets for $20, 50 tickets for $50 or 200 tickets for $100.
3. All ticket sales are final. All tickets purchased and entered into the draw cannot be refunded, including if ticket purchasers made an error in selecting the amount of tickets they desire to purchase. Exceptions to refund policy will only be made in situations involving technical error.
4. Manitoba Jockey Club 50/50 Draw will take place on all Assiniboia Downs live race nights as follows:Monday live race nights – tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. CT. Ticket sales will end Mondays at 9:50 p.m. The draw will take place Mondays at 10:00 p.m. CT. If there is no live racing scheduled for the Monday at the time of the opening of sales, then the sales will remain open until the next live racing day. If live racing is cancelled or not run for whatever reason after the opening of sales, the draw will occur as scheduled.

   Tuesday live race nights – tickets will be available for purchase starting Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. CT. Ticket sales will end Tuesdays at 9:50 p.m. The draw will take place Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. CT. If there is no live racing scheduled for the Tuesday at the time of the opening of sales, then the sales will remain open until the next live racing day.  If live racing is cancelled or not run for whatever reason after the opening of sales, the draw will occur as scheduled.

   Wednesday live race nights – tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. CT. Ticket sales will end Wednesdays at 9:50 p.m. The draw will take place Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. CT. If there is no live racing scheduled for the Wednesday at the time of the opening of sales, then the sales will remain open until the next live racing day.   If live racing is cancelled or not run for whatever reason after the opening of sales, the draw will occur as scheduled.

5. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older and located within Manitoba’s provincial borders at the time of purchase. Tickets are not transferable. The individuals that are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 raffle are the raffle chair and the raffle mailing contact.
6. Raffle tickets are sold through our Ascend system at 5050.ASDowns.com. Accepted payment methods are Interact, Cash, Amex, Visa and MasterCard.
7. A single ticket number will be randomly selected by a Random Number Generator from all tickets sold during the raffle timeframe. In the case of a discrepancy between the posted number and the actual number selected through Random Number Generation, the actual number selected through Random Number Generation will be considered the valid winning number.
8. Proceeds from the raffle will help support Final Furlong Canada and the Winners Foundation.
9. In the event of a technical difficulty, the draw may be delayed. If this is the case, purchasers should retain their ticket and the winner will be posted on 5050.ASDowns.com.
10. The winning number and prize amount will be announced by our track announcer and posted at Guest Services following the completion of the draw for those that have purchased tickets on site at Manitoba Jockey Club. The winning number will also be posted on 5050.ASDowns.com. If the ticket was purchased online, the winner will be notified by a Manitoba Jockey Club staff member within three business days. The holder of the winning ticket must claim their prize by forwarding their purchase e-mail to 5050@ASDowns.com along with and a copy of their government issued photo identification and address.  For tickets purchased in person, the holder of the winning ticket must claim their prize by presenting the ticket and their government issued photo identification to the Manitoba Jockey Club representative at the guest services on the main floor of the grandstand. The holder of the winning ticket will have until 4:00PM (CT) ten (10) business days from the time of the announcement to claim the prize. By claiming the prize, the winner gives Manitoba Jockey Club the right to publish the winner’s name and prize amount. Names are publicized to protect the integrity of the 50/50 raffle as it verifies that prizes are won. The prize claimant will be required to sign a Declaration and Release(“Release”) which must be executed and returned to Manitoba Jockey Club no later than five (5) business days after the receipt of the Release. The prize is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. The prize shall be paid by cheque from Manitoba Jockey Club within thirty (30) days of the winner being confirmed and receipt of the signed Release. The cheque will be mailed to the winner with the customer details provided at time of purchase when purchasing online and to the mailing address provided when completing the release for tickets purchased in person. All Prizes not claimed on or before the Prize Claim Expiry Date (4:00 PM CT, ten business days from the Raffle date), will be retained by Manitoba Jockey Club.
11. If the integrity of the raffle is compromised in any way, Manitoba Jockey Club will notify the LGCA and consult the LGCA on how to best move forward.
12. The Manitoba Jockey Club Raffle License (LGCA- 5630-RF-47498) is issued by the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba.
